eBook ad

Just finished up this full page ad for National Insurance Group. This ad will appear in the eBook supporting an upcoming insurance conference, as well as on some additional printed marketing materials. This is my first project for National Insurance Group, and so I took some time to familiarize myself with the business and their objectives before brainstorming on a concept. I am happy to say that they were very pleased with the result!

Festival Program Guide

Due to some changes in available production methods, the Bluegrass on the Bogs 2016 program guide presented a challenge: It needed to convey the same amount of information previously contained in a 20-page 5.5 x 8.5 inch booklet (with additional cover), on only two 11 x 17 sized sheets.

After percolating on this puzzle for awhile, I was able to come up with a solution: An 8-page, 8.5 x 11 sized booklet that folded down one additional time for handout, creating its own built-in cover and eliminating the need to staple the binding. This saved printing and bindery costs.

Click on the image below to view the web-optimized version of the finished guide, which I provided to my client for inclusion on their website. Note: all ads are also my work, with the exception of two: a camera-ready from Downey Realty & Insurance company, and an existing ad to copy and clean-up from Mockingbird Music.

Gray’s Carpet Center

I love designing websites, and this newly launched site for Gray’s Carpet Center was no exception! The fine folks at Gray’s were looking for a complete redesign of their previous site to bring it up to date with expanded form, function, and a separate mobile design for easy viewing on small screens. The resulting site not only provides a wealth of easy to find information about their business, it also gives their customers the tools that they need for inspiration and decision making, using the wealth of content provided by Gray’s various dealers and suppliers. I built this site using an online platform, and provided step-by-step training, which allows them to log in and add photos of their completed installations to an online gallery. You can see the entire site at http://www.grayscarpetcenter.com.

Brian Prindle Music

I am happy to announce the launch of Brian Prindle’s website! This is Brian’s first site, and so this project involved first collecting all of the various bits and pieces of content that he wanted to feature; organizing it in the best way to tell his individual story; and then creating three distinct messages within the framework of the site. Brian is a musician for hire, a music instructor, and he is also looking to move into booking/coordinating talent. Behind the scenes projects included excerpting, titling and crediting  video clips from longer reels; building a YouTube channel; sourcing and editing photography; and copywriting. We built this site using an online platform, which enables Brian to log in and keep his News and Upcoming Shows sections up to date. I love designing web sites—this was a fun project! You can see the entire site at http://www.brianprindlemusic.com. Congratulations Brian on the launch of your new site!

Festival Poster

Bluegrass On The Bogs (BOTB) is a growing, grass-roots, volunteer-based, amazingly entertaining, organically-grown and much loved festival. It’s a three day acoustic non-traditional bluegrass festival showcasing regional bands from the New England States. BOTB features camping, jams, artisan & food vendors, kids events, workshops and more.” (source)

This year marks the 11th anniversary of this rapidly growing festival. Larry DeJong drafted off of his original logo design to create a special 11th anniversary logo, and I worked from there to create a poster design that would get this festival noticed. This poster typically debuts in February at a local music convention, and so I designed it to stand out amongst the many other flyers and posters that it would compete with there.

If you’re in the South Shore, MA area in May, and you enjoy bluegrass music, consider checking out this family-friendly festival!
