I discovered this 1810 mill building on a walk around my new neighborhood. For this shot, I was experimenting with angles, colors and textures.

A blue heron captured on a recent hike through the Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Del Ray Beach, FL. I like the way the ripples in the water made a simple graphic background for this shot.

This was taken with the Lumix on a recent trip to a friend’s farm in upstate NY on a just-before-snow-gray day.

This spectator at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival got creative at beating the crowds, and created a nice opportunity for me to play with composition. Update, July 2011: The festival staff picked up this shot to use on the HSB Facebook page.

Calistoga, CA. I liked the play of the blue bicycles against the orange umbrellas, and the way that they offset the tranquil sun-soaked setting.
